Nestled in the misty mountains of San Marcos, our Costa Rica Tarrazú Washed coffee tells the story of a land where altitude meets attitude. Grown at elevations ranging from 1,200 to 1,900 meters, this cup is a product of the rich volcanic soils and crisp climate that make Tarrazú one of the most revered coffee-producing regions in the world.
This lot comes to us from the hardworking smallholder farmers of San Marcos, who have honed their craft over generations. These producers operate on modest parcels of land but pour immense care into cultivating their cherries—from selective handpicking to precise post-harvest processing at small community wet mills. Their work brings out the signature clarity and balance that define Tarrazú coffees.
We roast this washed offering to Light-Medium to highlight its buttery mouthfeel and soft sweetness. Notes of grapefruit, toasted hazelnut and chocolate unfold into warm brown sugar, rounded by a subtle creaminess and smooth finish.
