Feral Philosophy
My love for coffee began in the heart of the Syrian desert, where I found myself deployed in remote, austere conditions. Luckily I had an electric kettle and a French press that served as the coffee station for our platoon - The Battlecats.
Surrounded by the often harsh realities of military life, coffee became more than just a drink—it was a moment of solace between missions, a small ritual that connected me to the present amid the chaotic and dynamic nature of our job. It was there, in the quiet of the desert, that I realized the power of coffee to bring people together, spark connection, and ground us in the moment.
As a teacher and creative, I believe we are at our best when we focus on the here and now, embracing resilience and resourcefulness. Feral Coffee Roasters is a reflection of that philosophy—a company born from the belief that even in the most challenging circumstances, there’s beauty in simplicity and strength in adaptability. In a limitless world, we are wild, untamed, and always evolving.
Every cup is born from my personal quest to unlock the very best from each exceptionally sourced coffee with thoughtfulness and intent. Feral refers to the bold, unrestrained qualities that emerge when coffee is allowed to thrive in its most natural and raw form.
